– so the saying goes. Yet, a question may arise: of the vast amount of theoretical knowledge we acquire at school, how much can we actually apply once we step into the real world? Is paying attention in class enough to get into a good university and then build a successful career?
Hardly, on its own—because theoretical knowledge only becomes truly valuable when paired with practical experience. But where can we gain such experience if not at school?
The TudásHíd (Knowledge Bridge) Mentoring Program offers an answer and a solution to this question. Join us, and let’s build your future together!
TudásHíd is a fully student-initiated and student-organized non-profit project. Its goal is to provide students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience alongside the high-level theoretical education they receive in school—especially in fields that are not part of the high school curriculum. This is achieved through personal mentoring by senior corporate executives, professional lectures, and company visits.
The program consists of four main thematic lecture series—packages—covering: Finance, Natural Sciences, Rhetoric, and Business. These packages are structured as follows:
Students visit leading financial institutions such as Raiffeisen and UniCredit, as well as key financial organizations like the Budapest Stock Exchange and the Hungarian National Bank. The package concludes with a three-day stock market competition.
We gain insight into the operations of companies in the medical, pharmaceutical, technological innovation, and energy sectors, such as Richter, MVM, and Bosch. Topics include the role of robotics in modern medicine and the spread of biotechnologies.
Participants learn the basics of speechwriting and public speaking, how to overcome stage fright, and how to speak confidently in front of an audience. At the end of the package, they present in a competition before a professional jury, showcasing what they have learned.
This package provides the opportunity to learn from senior executives of international companies about the challenges and exciting aspects of their work—whether in HR, PR, marketing, or sales.
Our program started in February 2024, born from a chance realization. While building connections in the business world, we had a brief introductory call followed by a coffee meeting with Csaba Iglódi, President of the OnlyCEO Club. At that meeting, we realized that company executives would be happy to work with us if there was a shared and meaningful goal we could pursue together. That’s when the idea was born: why not extend a helping hand to our fellow students while also building valuable connections?
Over the past year, TudásHíd has become a shared effort between students and executives: professionals gladly pass on their knowledge to the next generation, helping them enter the world of work and life better prepared. Our initiative has evolved a lot: in spring, it was wonderful to see how many executives and professionals approached us wanting to support the program, and in autumn, it was especially heartwarming to hear students’ feedback about the great opportunities we provide—and how grateful they are for them. We hope the coming months will bring even more inspiring results!
I’m an 11th-grade student in class C at the Budapest Fazekas Mihály Grammar School, founder and head organizer of the TudásHíd program. In early 2024, I began meeting company executives, asking them questions, and learning from them—and then I realized I wanted to share this opportunity with others. That’s how TudásHíd began. :)
I’ve always been interested in who shapes economic and political processes and how. I’m inspired by those who influence the world from behind the scenes, like Dick Cheney or Henry Kissinger, and also by those whose personality has touched millions, like Whitney Houston and Michelle Obama.
The world of business and finance is especially exciting for me: I enjoy strategic thinking, negotiations, and that moment when an idea turns into a tangible result. I believe a good conversation can point you in the right direction—maybe even for you!
I’m an 11th-grade student in class B at the Budapest Fazekas Mihály Grammar School, founder and head organizer of the TudásHíd program. The idea was born in February 2024, and since then, I’ve been working to complement classroom knowledge with practical experience, bringing real-world challenges closer to my fellow students.
Although I’m not aiming for a Nobel Prize, I’ve always been deeply interested in the natural sciences—not from an academic perspective, but in their industrial applications. TudásHíd aims to show what opportunities lie in this field and to explore the meeting points between science and industry together with students. In the process, I’m also learning a lot myself, building professional connections, and deepening my expertise so that I can work in this area in the future.
I’m an 11th-grade student in class D at the Budapest Fazekas Mihály Grammar School, and a head organizer of the TudásHíd program. I joined at the start of the school year in September 2024, and have been part of the team since the opening event.
